Alan's Full Resume

Alan Egleston's Biography:

I have been involved with the design and implementation of Quality Management Systems for more than fourteen years.

My experience includes high tech manufacturing and assembly operations, FDA regulated medical device manufacturing, logistics, distribution, warehousing and quality assurance.

My range of experience has given me a unique “big picture” approach while designing Quality Systems for any organization.

I have a proven history of designing and implementing processes that have enhanced the productivity, efficiency, and communication within an organization.

My appreciation with quality began when I became involved in auto racing at the age of eighteen. During my 20 years of involvement I was a driver, mechanic, crew chief, chassis setup specialist, assembly operations manager and warehouse manager. From the racing industry I learned the value of hard work, attention to details, high tech manufacturing principles, initiative, problem solving, meeting deadlines, and a dedication to quality. I was always aware that even the smallest error or omission on my part could cause a driver to lose his life because of my mistakes.

I have been writing processes and procedures for every company I have worked for including, assembly operation, manufacturing of medical devices, warehousing and shipping, document and blueprint control, and ISO quality management systems.

I have also designed and conducted training for companies in the areas of quality awareness for new employees, top management training for ISO, internal quality auditor training, and continuing education for internal auditors. During this time I developed and conducted training for the Process Development Program in which I run a self created Process/Communication Exercise.

Through my extra curricular activities, I have been a racing instructor at SCCA driving schools, taught sail handling techniques to beginning sailors, and I have taught magic to junior members of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

I hold auditor credentials in both the ISO 9001:2000 and the 14001:2004 standards.  I am also a qualified trainer for QAI Training for Quality in both standards as well.

My leisure time activities include yacht racing, magic, and auto restoration.
